This is really cool! Check it out I am doing it for my kiddos. I learned about it from Cody's cousin.

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas
Monday night for family home evening we went down to the riverwalk to go on a boat ride with Santa. We took pictures by some Christmas lights and then got to meet Santa. His helpers gave everyone some hot chocolate and then on the boat ride he came and sat by us and talked to each one of the kids(except Caleb). They thought it was really cool to have Santa spend time with each one of them.

Flying is fun!
The students are done flying for the year and so they let the pilots take a fun flight. Cody got to go with is flight group of pilots up to an airport by Boulder, CO. Here are a couple of pictures of that flight. They flew in formation there and back, on the way there he got to be the front plane. The first couple of pictures are of where he works.

Christmas concerts and cuteness
In the first picture you will see Jessica at her band performance, she is the third one from the left. She is playing the clarinet and doing a great job, although her teacher says she needs more air to sound louder.
Nikki is in the second picture at her choir concert and sing along. She is right in the center, second row up. She also plays the trumpet but we didn't get to go to that concert due to strep throat.
Caleb is just too cute in this picture, that is why he is here. His shirt says Captian Dribble which he is doing a lot these days. Cody also calls him a weapon because he will hold him over the boys and try to get him to drool on them, they think it is hillarious.

Birthday, and Tree Hunting
For my birthday this year I told Cody I wanted a homemade pie, well being the good man he is he made me one. He made me a strawberry pie, his 1st one ever and it was yummy! Then, the day after Thanksgiving some friends invited us to go up to their property in WestCliff(about 1 hour from here), to find a Christmas tree. It was a very fun experience. Our friends truck got stuck in the snow and we carried our supplies up with us for food and chopping trees, not to mention babies. Despite the snow it wasn't too cold. We built a fire, cooked chili, and finally found the tree for us (I have to mention that this is the first time Cody and the kids ever picked out and chopped down a Christmas tree, I guess it is old hat for rednecks like me...LOL). It is a beautiful tree! I really love having a real tree, even the mess they make is totally worth it! I guess my parents left me with a "real tree" legacy, I hope to pass on to my kids. You see, there is enough artificial things in this world, we need something real once in a while.

Maryland Trip
I loved the opportunity to go spend time with Katie and meet and get to know Drew. We really had a lot of fun. The last of my activities was to attend the D.C. Temple. It is amazing! I am really grateful for Drew and his family and all they did for me and Caleb on our trip. This trip was taken before Halloween(the day I flew home), but I forgot to put it on first so it is a bit out of order.

We took a day trip into D.C.(Washington). What an amazing place, we had a lot of fun.

We stayed one night with one of my favorite roommates, she lives in Ohio. It was great to visit with her! On our way out of Ohio we say the great basket building, so cool! Then we just kept driving another 6 or so hours to Maryland. The picture of the pumpkin patch is Drew's family patch at one of their ranches. The reason for the picture wasn't because of the pumpkins but because of the voltures. I have never seen so many in my life all at once.

Uncle Colin and a Sunday afternoon
The kids were dressed up and looking good so we decided to take some Sunday photos.

Much to the excitement of everyone, Uncle Colin got to come for a very quick visit. He was helping some friends move to Colorado Springs and then came to see us. He was here less than 24 hours, and was so tired, but he was a good sport as you can see. Thank you for coming, you made our day!
