Family Time
I loved getting together with family. There is nothing more wonderful. I wish we lived closer, but knowing that we are close in heart is great. I guess that is why we stay up late and just hang out when we come. I don't need much or to do much when we come, these pictures say it all. I love you!

Our Family Vacation
We started out our vacation in Kansas City, MO. We wanted to visit some of the church historical sites. So we went to Haun's Mill, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Far West, Gallatin, and Liberty Jail. It was wonderful, but the part the kids enjoyed most was finding and catching the cute little froggies that were very plentiful. We did also visit a couple of banks that the James Brothers' robbed, and saw where Harry S. Truman grew up and had his very firt job. We also had fun visiting an Amish community and visiting with a very nice and really talented Amish man. Missouri was wonderful and beautiful. The only part we would have changed was the humidity.

Here are some of the highlights from our trip to Branson. We got to Ride The Ducks, go to the fish hatchery, watch Jessica perform, play mini-golf with pirates, sit with Forrest Gump, Spiderman, and Be Beamed Up. And who could forget the General Lee, Cody and I had fun posing with it at Cooter's.

This was our last day in Branson and our way home. We ate dinner at Lambert's resturant "home of the flying rolls". It definately lived up to our expectations. A must go to if you are in the Branson area. Then we came back home through Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and home to Colorado. All said and done we managed to go through 7 states on our vacation.

Finally Updating
Here is Eli at scout day camp. He absolutely loved it, especially shooting guns and bows and arrows. They did some great activities like going swimming and some crafts.

This is Luke and some of his friends at his birthday party, at the bounce town.

There is nothing like a good old fashioned barn raising! We have such wonderful friends and neighbors who came out to help us get our barn up. We had great food, and the men did the work while the girls got to visit and the kids played. We even took time to ride the horse..NICE!

This is Luke's kindergarten graduation. It was so special to see my little Luke making such a big leap into 1st grade.

This is our fire pit, Cody's vision finally became a reality this spring. We love it, we have had friends over to roast hot dogs and marshmellows. When it is not so hot, later this fall we may use it even more.

These are my garden boxes that I finally got up in May, I am growing tomatoes, bell peppers (green and red), zucchini, butternut squash, watermelon, pumpkin, and cantaloup. I tried a few other things but they never came up, we will try the peas, lettuce, raddishes, and spinach again later this fall.

This is Eli's wrestling medal. He went to a wrestling meet in Wasenburg and took 1st place in his division. This was in April. He loves to wrestle and can't wait to start again in January. Great job Eli, we are so proud!
