The Time of His Life

Well, he may not have gotten to fly in the real thing, but he did get a sim ride. He says it is very realistic. You feel every move you make and he did get a bit sick to his tummy just doing this, so it was probably good he only did a sim ride. Although a picture of him and a sick sack would have definately been grounds for a new Friday Name.

Here is what Cody wished he was doing. Flying one of these is a dream he has, but he will take just being close to them and knowing that these boys wouldn't be doing what they are without him. So in a way he is there by knowing that this is what he is training them to do.

Here he is at the Air Force Base just soaking it all in. He loves flying, but would love to have a shot at the ones here. The planes here have POWER! At least that what he says...wink,wink.

Here is Cody entering Oklahoma, on his way to Vance Air Force Base for some work training.

True Love

Here is Eli with his cat, "Captain Jack Sparrow", who goes by Jack. He loves his cat, and has to sleep with him every night or there is no sleeping. He really does take good care of him. As for Jack, I think he loves all the attention. He is a people cat. When Cody got home from his work trip this week, Jack was right there at the door to greet him (the kids were already in bed) and to get his fur rubs. Actually he is always waiting by the door anytime we leave the house.

My Soccer Tribe

Well, here they are all posing together. We took this picture after last weeks games, which is a great thing because it was really cold and drizzly today. Great job kids! We love them, aren't they just so adorable?

Luke has such heart. He loved playing soccer and was always so cool about it. No hugs for a job well done, just high fives! Where has my baby gone?

Eli was always on the run. He made a goal every game and was one of the top players for his age group.

Nikki getting right in with the best of them. Can you see the determination?

Jessica going full steam ahead in her soccer game. She doesn't let the other team scare her...especially the boys!

Chicken Coop

Guess what I did? I built a chicken coop (at least my version of a chicken coop for now)all by myself. Well, the kids did help a little with screwing in screws and drilling holes with my help. But Cody doesn't know yet, he has been out of town for work, so I decided to surprise him. I used the mitersaw, jigsaw and my drill. As soon as I can take a picture I will post it. It isn't fancy by any means, but the chickens haven't had a place to nest and the are losing tail feathers which is one sign of too much light among other things. Now they will have a place to go to lay their eggs and get out of the bad weather(we haven't had bad weather yet, but it will come). My next project will be a home for the rooster, if we don't eat him first! He crows at the darndest hours.

So much to say and no pictures till next week

Well, I thought I would let you know what is going on in our neck of the woods even though I don't have pictures to share with you yet. This last weekend we went and bought a new camera and it is nice. We are very excited that we now can take more than 1 picture every 10 seconds. That is very important when your children and lives are so active. We also went out on a limb and bought a Wii. Totally crazy, I know! We (I) have been wanting one for a while but haven't been able to find one, that is...until Friday evening. It came with the sports games and then we got MarioKart to go with it. It has been a wonderful addition to the family. Mostly a bribing tool for getting school work done. Cody was supposed to leave today to Oklahoma for some work/pilot training, but was bummed to find out they won't be leaving until tomorrow due to inclimate weather. Now he won't get to fly the planes there or go up in the jet when they arrive. He was so looking forward to going and flying. The kids start swimming lessons tomorrow, and they are excited. They have never had swim lessons before, so this will be a fun experience for them. That is all I can think of right now. When Cody gets back from his trip I will post some pictures, he has the camera packed for his excursion.
