Top 50

Jessica tried out yesterday for "Pueblo's Got Talent". It was an audition to see if you could make it to the top 50 and be seen in front of a talent scout and a previous member of American Idol(they will be judging the simi-finals and the finals).We got up early and were to the mall to stand in line at 7:30am. We thought that there would be people in line ahead of us, but we were the very 1st ones there. We had even brought camp chairs, games and food...thinking we would have to wait for 4+ hours in line. No one else showed up until about 8am and the sound system people didn't even show up until about 8:15. Because we were the 1st in line they let us choose where at in line we wanted to be and we didn't want to be first so we chose to be 15th. In the end, there were over 100 people that tried out. Then we took off to go have some breakfast at Denny's Resturant with Jessica's dance teacher/owner, her daughter and another friend from dance named Dawn who also was going to dance. We made it back as they were on about #8, and just had enought time to dress, do hair and makeup and stand in line for 10 min. before auditioning. She did awesome like always. Well, you always wish the best for your children and so I hoped she would make it to the top 50 simi-finalists, but knowing that no matter what it was just good experience. Well, last night while Cody and I were chaparoning a youth dance I got the call to tell us she had made it to the top 50....YEAH we are all so excited! She will now perform again on Friday night in front of the above noted judges plus two of the same ones that judged yesterday. Wish her luck!
