Memorial Day Fun

We got to go up to Broomfield and spend the day with Jaycine, Colin and the kids. It was a cool Memorial Day weekend this year but the kids wanted to go swimming so we took them to a pool fairly close to Jay and Colins. Cody's cousin works there so it was fun to see him too. After the excitement of the pool and slides wore off, the kids were freezing so they bundled up in towels and Cody went to get lunch. We wern't there that long, but it was fun to be with the kids and watch the boys flirt or at least attempt to flirt with some older girls. It is cute now, but give it couple of years and we will be putting blindfolds on them.
So, on Memorial Day, Cody and I ran the Bolder Boulder. Well, Cody ran and I kinda ran. Cody made the 10K in 55min. and I did it in 1hour and 29min. I was so nervous that day, I had only ever done a 5K, but I must say that had it been another race and a 10K I don't know if I would have done as well. It is a race like no other...the streets were lined with people handing out donuts, marshmellows and beer...PUKE! How you take those things and keep running is beyond me. The dancers and singers were fun to listen to and people even had hoses spraying you and slip and slides in their yards you could use to cool off. I do plan on doing it again, it was fun. Never thought I would say that.
